"Drakar" (Dragons) was designed by famous swedish artist Carl Johan De Geer 1964. This pattern with creatures moving around and reaching for lotus flowers has been inspired by the cover of "The blue lotus" album. The album is the fifth volume of "The Adventures of Tintin", the comics series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. Young Carl Johan spent some years of his childhood in Belgium and got the Tintin albums as a christmas gift every year.
Our artisan procedure of hand printing means that print joints may sometimes be seen on the finished fabric. We call these maker's mark and it is a natural characteristic for the handicraft.
Our fabrics are suitable for light upholstery for domestic use.
